During the month of August 2020, following the Beirut port explosion, ASC volunteers distributed medical aid to a total of 85 community members from across Lebanon. This aid was distributed in the form of medicine for chronic and incurable diseases. It came in response to the dire economic and health situation that was made worse by the explosion. After the announcement of general mobilization in Lebanon in the beginning of March 2020, economic pressures mounted, affecting all segments of Lebanese society. Different associations took initiative as a result, including churches. Based on the situation, various parish committees attached to the Assyrian Church of the East in Lebanon decided to allocate food rations for parish families.
